• Search for the shop's reputation and read customer reviews about it before buying
• Type the address of the shop in the browser manually and ensure it is not a fake website
• Make sure that the web address of the shop on the browser appears as https:\\ not http:\\
• Use a strong password that differs from a shop to another
• Enter the minimum personal information needed by the shop
• Read the shop’s privacy policy to learn how it stores data and how it deals with it
• Do not activate permissions that you may not need (such as a microphone and geolocation) in shopping apps
• Enable email spam filter
• Install an anti-virus software on your device and update it periodically
• Beware of unrealistic shopping offers, especially those that require a quick decision
