Description:

Cisco has released a clarification to address a vulnerability in the following product:

  • Cisco IOS XE Software when persistent Telnet is configured

Threats:

Remote attacker could exploit the vulnerability by executing arbitrary code.

Best practice and Recommendations:

Cisco recommends disabling the persistent Telnet feature and using persistent Secure Shell (SSH) instead.
