Description:

Apple has released updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in the following products:

  • macOS Catalina 10.15
  • iTunes 12.10.1 for Windows
  • iCloud for Windows 10.7
  • iCloud for Windows 7.14

Threats:

These vulnerabilities can cause the following threat:

  • Execute arbitrary code.
  • Cause memory corruption.
  • View a user’s locked Notes.
  • Exfiltrate the contents of an encrypted PDF.
  • Access recent documents.
  • Visiting a maliciously crafted website may reveal browsing history.

Best practice and Recommendations:

The CERT team encourages to update:

  • macOS Catalina 10.15 from the Software Update in the settings, or from the App Store.
  • The affected products from Microsoft from the official (Microsoft Store) or from the official website for Apple.
