Description:

Ubuntu has released system updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in the following system versions:

  • Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
    • linux-hwe - Linux hardware enablement (HWE) kernel
    • thunderbird - Mozilla Open Source mail and newsgroup client
  • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
    • kamailio - very fast and configurable SIP proxy
  • Ubuntu 19.10
    • thunderbird - Mozilla Open Source mail and newsgroup client

Threats:

The vulnerabilities could be exploited by the attackers and cause the following:

  • Denial of service attack (DoS)
  • Execute arbitrary code
  • Buffer overflow
