Medtronic has released security update to address multiple vulnerabilities in the following product:

  • MyCareLink (MCL) Smart Model 25000 Patient Reader
    • All versions

Threats:

Remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by executing arbitrary code.

The CERT team encourages users to review Medtronic best practice and update the MyCareLink Smartapp via the associated mobile application store to the latest v5.2 mobile application version (will ensure the Patient Reader is also updated on next use):
