Facebook has released security updates to address a vulnerability in the following product:

  • WhatsApp Desktop prior to v0.3.9309 paired with WhatsApp for iPhone versions prior to 2.20.10

Threats:

After a user clicks on a link via WhatsApp chats, system files such as operating system data, type, and IP addresses can be accessed and read remotely.
